Architecture is a series of bets
about where the pressure lands.

Most "cloud phone" products are a reseller with a nice UI. I went the hard way: at Adoptiv, we built the telephony engine in-house. Every channel, bridge, and transfer is owned by code we control, not a black-box queue we pray works.

The result is one platform where a rep's entire day lives: a native predictive dialer, a full CRM, and AI that does the busywork. Live transcription with sentiment, auto-logged calls, AI voice agents for first contact, next-action prediction. Because the engine is ours, the AI runs in the media path instead of arriving late over a webhook.

I care about the unglamorous parts: the channel variable that fixes a mis-identified transfer, the proxy_media flag that quietly kills your audio, the difference between a queue that works in a demo and one that works across a 200-seat BPO floor. Clever gets you a great demo. Boring gets you uptime.
